Award Eligibility

The Student Senate recognizes a 'Superior Club' within the college once a year. The club chosen must be one that has demonstrated outstanding activity and service. The award recognizes the club that has carried out activities to benefit its members both academically and socially. The winner receives a rotating plaque and is recognized at the CAHNRS Awards Banquet.

Nomination Packet Guidelines

An electronic packet will be submitted to Sean McIlraith (smcilraith@wsu.edu) in the CAHNRS Academic Programs via email. Submit a seperate document for each of the following numbers.Make sure you include the numbered title (in bold) in the file name.

Activities:
Report on year's activities -- 2009-2010 Please provide a list of your club's activities for each of the categories: member activities, college activities, university or community activities, state, regional, national or international activities
  3.

Expanded Activity:
One-to-two page expansion of one of the clubs activities. Consider the size and quality of the activity, the amount of preparation involved, and the level of participation. Consider the benefits of the activity for members, college, community or professional development (speakers, conventions, etc.). Has club membership, involvement, and participation increased over the past year?
  4.

Letters:
Two letters written by club members - one letter from a new member and one letter from an old member provide a broader viewpoint. The members should explain how the club has benefited them personally, how the member feels about their club and if the club has provided professional experience and exposure along with social activities.

 

Selection Process:

Selection is done by the Student Senate Superior Club Selection Committee.
